Our extra-fine, professional handmade Oil Colours are intended to be used as they are meant to be: as premium-quality Oil Colours for artists who seek the finest quality, a buttery consistency, excellent mixability, powerful and stunning chroma, and easy handling—while also caring about the longevity of their work.
Our colour range includes both traditional and contemporary pigments, giving artists the opportunity to express themselves not only with Oil Colours made from pigments available to the Grand Maîtres, but also with oils made from modern pigments—which, had they been available, the Grand Maîtres would surely have embraced as well.
Because of their exceptional chromatic strength, only a small quantity of our Oil Colours is needed to achieve coverage.
Our colour range will continue to expand, placing great value on the natural pigments offered by Earth, because we believe Nature is the greatest teacher—as did the Grand Maîtres.
We will also be expanding with a carefully selected range of mixed-pigment colours for hues that are difficult to recreate with the same precision every time, using traditional recipes rather than their contemporary substitutes.
Stay tuned as we gradually introduce new additions to our Oil Colours range.
Restoration and Conservation
All our colours can be used by restorers, thanks to the careful hand-refining of our first cold-pressed linseed oil, following the same principles by which artists refined their linseed oil in the 16th century, before alkali-refined linseed oil came into use.
Combined with our use of pigments that were known during that period—and which have stood the test of time—our traditional handmade Oil Colours are the closest modern equivalent to those once prepared by the assistants of the Grand Maîtres, according to their exacting standards.
We can also produce custom colours matched precisely to the requirements of any project, working in consultation with the conservator or restorer responsible. For more information, please visit our Wholesale/Professional section or contact us directly to discuss your needs.

They're really great!... Thanks, TIMOS!
“Straight off the bat, the colors are like butter, with a soft consistency that make them feel like silk while mixing them with the pallet knife. With the whites, I can tell right away which one of them is warm and which is cold just by looking at them.
All the colors you sent me have a beautiful consistency.
Some manufacturers’ colors mix like mud and have a muddy consistency. Your colors have none of that.
The colors are easy to build texture, they brush and flow very well even when applied thick. The paint can be pushed around and it retains brush marks very well. They’re fantastic! Overall I love them. They’re great.”, M. Sida, USA
“Overall, we were very impressed with the range. The paints have a really pleasing consistency and texture. Smooth and workable without feeling overly oily or stiff. The pigmentation is strong and well-balanced, giving excellent coverage and depth of colour, and they performed consistently across the different hues we tried.
They handled well both in mixing and applications, and we think they would appeal to artists looking for reliable, high quality colour in line with top brands such as … and …”, Nadia & Yanko, London, UK
